Pro Wrestling Cyprus brings live professional wrestling to the island with international talent and local stars

Founded in 2023 by Barry Charalambous, Pro Wrestling Cyprus (PWC) aims to provide Cypriots with live professional wrestling events without the need to travel abroad. Building on his experience wrestling in Britain, Charalambous is creating a family-friendly promotion that combines athleticism with dramatic storylines, rivalries, and championship matches involving both local and international wrestlers.

PWC has hosted 10 events so far, including appearances at Cyprus Comic Con, and plans to expand its presence with a structured training academy and increased media coverage. The promotion is designed to engage the audience interactively, enhancing the live experience for fans of all ages and backgrounds.

By reviving Cyprus’ rich wrestling history and attracting international talent, PWC seeks to boost tourism and entertainment on the island. Upcoming events in 2026 include Gods of Wrestling at Cyprus Comic Con and Wrath of Athena at Stavrou Gymnasium, spotlighting championship matches and ongoing storylines. Charalambous envisions a sustainable future where Cypriot wrestling thrives and inspires new generations.
