Safe Bulkers CEO Polys Hajioannou invests €10.05 million in latest share issue
Safe Bulkers’ CEO Polys Hajioannou invested €10.05 million in the company’s recent share issue through Moutoulas Shipping Corporation. The transaction involved acquiring 1.5 million common shares at €6.70 each on September 11, finalizing his participation in the €80.4 million private placement.
The company raised €80.4 million in gross proceeds by placing 12 million new shares to strengthen liquidity, support newbuilding programs, and potentially acquire additional vessels.
