Investigation continues after 4-year-old boy dies falling from sixth floor in Agios Dometios

A four-year-old boy died after falling from a sixth-floor apartment window in Agios Dometios last Saturday evening. The child reportedly climbed onto an open window on a closed balcony, which had been left open due to heat, and fell after losing his balance, while his parents and younger sister were inside the apartment.

An autopsy confirmed the boy died from severe head trauma and multiple injuries caused by the fall. Forensic experts found no signs of abuse, and blood samples have been taken for further analysis. The investigation by Nicosia CID continues to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

Both parents were arrested on suspicion of negligence and remain in custody following a court remand. Their 18-month-old daughter was placed in the care of Social Welfare Services. Police continue to gather evidence as the inquiry progresses.
