Government invests €89 million in state industrial estates with further infrastructure upgrades planned

The Cypriot government has invested 89 million euros to date in the development and maintenance of state industrial estates, according to Commerce and Industry Minister Michalis Damianos. The funding supports infrastructure including road resurfacing, pavement repairs, and upkeep of green spaces.

Between 2026 and 2029, an additional 5.775 million euros will be allocated to two key projects: upgrading the main road in the Monagrouli industrial zone and constructing a bridge linking the Tremithousa zone with the Paphos industrial area. Security improvements, such as fencing the Strovolos industrial estate, are also underway.

The government’s role involves expropriating land and funding access roads and utilities to ensure industrial zones are fully serviced. Local Authorities must oversee studies and project plans, with any projects over 2 million euros requiring further approvals. These coordinated efforts aim to support industrial growth and improve logistics within Cyprus’s industrial zones.
