Two Young Men Seriously Injured in Violent Limassol Attack, Five Arrested
Two young men, aged 24 and 22, sustained serious injuries following a violent attack in the Agios Ioannis area of Limassol. The victims were found at separate locations early Monday morning and promptly taken to Limassol General Hospital, where they remain under treatment for multiple fractures and head trauma.
Police responded to reports of a fight around 10pm on Sunday, September 13. During the investigation, a rental car containing bats and an axe was discovered. Officers later apprehended five individuals, aged between 21 and 30, who attempted to flee the scene. All five were arrested for unlawful assembly as police continue to determine their connection to the violent incident.
Limassol CID is actively investigating the case to establish the motive and identify all those involved, with examinations ongoing regarding the weapons found and the injuries sustained by the victims.
