George Karatzias has been appointed chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) for a five-year term, marking his return to the regulator after serving as an executive director at the Central Bank of Cyprus. The Cabinet approved his appointment alongside Loukas Lagoudis as CySEC vice-chairman and Andrea Moundi Savvides as a board member.
