Police Conduct Extensive Night Patrols Across Cyprus Resulting in Four Arrests
The Cyprus Police intensified their presence across the island last night with organized patrols targeting urban hotspots to prevent serious crimes and maintain public order. These efforts led to the arrest of four individuals for various offenses, including car theft and disobedience to court orders. During the operations, 428 vehicles were stopped for checks, and 565 persons were inspected.
Additionally, 37 inspections of premises aimed at combating delinquency resulted in four reports. Traffic enforcement actions were significant, with 337 violations recorded. Among these, 60 were for speeding, leading to the confiscation of six vehicles. Alcohol testing was conducted on 267 drivers, revealing two violations, while drug screening found one positive case.
These policing efforts are ongoing, with enhanced patrolling and targeted checks continuing daily to secure public safety and uphold law and order throughout Cyprus.
