Fire near Pano Deftera Lapatsa area brought under control after quick response

A fire that ignited on privately owned land with wild vegetation near the community of Pano Deftera, at Lapatsa, has reportedly been brought under control. The blaze started around 11:50 am and prompted an immediate response from firefighting teams. Four fire engines from the Department of Forests along with two Fire Service vehicles were deployed to the scene to combat the fire. Firefighters continue to work to ensure the fire remains contained and prevent further spread. No injuries or damage details have been reported so far.
