4th Cyprus Choreography Showcase Features Nine Cutting-Edge Dance Works in Limassol
The 4th Cyprus Choreography Showcase will take place from September 18 to 20, 2026, at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol, presenting nine selected contemporary dance works from Cyprus. The event highlights themes such as power dynamics, identity, gender, social justice, and transformation, showcasing the richness of the island’s dance scene. It serves as a platform to connect Cyprus-based choreographers with international artistic directors and curators, facilitating professional networking and collaboration opportunities abroad.
The programme includes diverse performances, like Panos Malactos’ NO IM NOT, which explores abuse within the dance world, and Petros Konnaris and Rodia Vomvolou’s innovative performance–board game investigating future possibilities. Other notable works address female strength, collective experience, and social activism.
Complementing the performances, parallel activities titled MEANWHILE offer further chances for exchange and networking within the dance community. Tickets are €8 per day, with free admission for students, pensioners, and dance professionals. The event is presented by the Deputy Ministry of Culture’s Department of Contemporary Culture in partnership with Rialto Theatre and supported by local cultural organizations.
