Fuel prices in Cyprus expected to rise further as refinery costs increase
Motorists in Cyprus are being warned to prepare for further increases in fuel prices as costs at refineries continue to climb. Constantinos Karayiorgis, Director of the Consumer Protection Service, noted that current trends indicate upcoming fuel shipments may carry higher prices unless conditions improve. Presently, the average price of unleaded 95 octane petrol stands at €1.62 per litre, with pump prices ranging from €1.54 to €1.71. Diesel costs average €1.88 per litre, fluctuating between €1.79 and €1.98, while heating oil is averaging €1.50, with prices from €1.38 to €1.65. These figures highlight the ongoing pressure on motorists as fuel costs continue to rise across the island.
