Cyprus Defence and Space Industry Cluster elects new eight-member board to boost sector
The Cyprus Defence and Space Industry Cluster (CyDSIC) held its first electoral general assembly, appointing an eight-member board to drive the growth of Cyprus' defence, security, and space industries. The cluster, operating under the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aims to strengthen the island's international presence and increase local participation in major European programmes.
Loizos Christofi of EBOS Technologies was elected president, supported by a board including vice-presidents responsible for financial affairs, policy, industrial development, research, and international cooperation. The newly formed board represents companies and research institutions from both defence and space sectors.
CyDSIC highlighted the cluster’s expanding role in enhancing Cyprus’ strategic capabilities and partnerships in Europe. The board will focus on fostering industry development, innovation, and collaboration with academic and research organizations, continuing to position Cyprus as a key player in the growing defence and space ecosystem.
