The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens officially welcomed its first-year students at its new Cyprus branch in Nicosia, marking the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. Rector Gerasimos Siassos and Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos extended warm welcomes to the students, with the mayor pledging support throughout their studies. Classes have commenced for the Medical School and Department of Primary Education, with the Department of Psychology, School of Economics, and Department of Nursing set to begin soon.
