More than 20 Cypriot startups and scaleups gathered in Limassol on September 17 at an event organised by Deloitte, which highlighted the growing strength and international potential of Cyprus' technology ecosystem. The gathering under the Technology Fast 50 programme and ARIS accelerator emphasised the challenges and opportunities for tech companies transitioning from early growth to international expansion.
Keynote speaker Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist of Cyprus, stressed the island’s talent and capability to build globally competitive firms but noted the need for startups to scale and internationalise to generate sustained economic impact. A panel discussion addressed critical factors that differentiate startups that successfully scale from those that fail, highlighting the importance of founders, strategy, funding, and execution.
Deloitte's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre and the ARIS accelerator provide mentorship, funding opportunities, and networking to support startups. The event concluded with awards recognizing the fastest-growing Cypriot technology companies, underscoring the growing maturity and ambition of the local innovation ecosystem.
