Silvio Augusto Rusmigo opens ‘Storing Light’ exhibition in Limassol showcasing Cyprus’ natural heritage
Photographer Silvio Augusto Rusmigo presents his exhibition “Storing Light,” featuring images from his ongoing project Aspelia Naturalis, at NYX Hotel Limassol from September 26 to October 10, 2026. The exhibition offers an intimate view of Cyprus’ diverse landscapes, rich biodiversity, and cultural heritage beyond typical postcard imagery.
The opening event, starting with a cocktail reception at 7:30 pm on September 26, marks the first presentation of Aspelia Naturalis in Limassol. The collection includes award-winning photographs and new works, encouraging visitors to appreciate and protect the island’s natural environment. Fifteen percent of the exhibition’s proceeds will be donated to BirdLife Cyprus to support conservation efforts.
Rusmigo, a documentary and commercial photographer, has worked extensively to highlight the relationship between landscape, culture, and identity in Cyprus. His exhibitions and publications are internationally recognized, with a strong focus on preserving the island's natural and cultural heritage.
