19-year-old arrested after dangerous driving and discovery of break-in tools in Paphos
A 19-year-old male from Paphos was arrested early Sunday morning following a police chase triggered by dangerous driving. Officers spotted a vehicle repeatedly making hazardous manoeuvres and skidding, endangering other road users. Despite attempts to pull the car over, the driver accelerated away, leading to a pursuit that ended down a dead-end road where the driver and two passengers fled on foot, abandoning the vehicle.
Upon searching the car, police found equipment believed to be used to facilitate break-ins. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 19-year-old at around 1 a.m. He appeared in court later that day and was remanded in custody for two days. The police investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather details related to the incident.
