Cyprus Government to Provide 570 Discounted Land Plots for Young Families Across Island
The Cyprus government will allocate approximately 570 plots of land to young families, selling them at 25% of their market value, according to the interior ministry. This initiative aims to help young and low- to middle-income families acquire land and build homes affordably.
Minister Constantinos Ioannou emphasized that access to housing is critical for social cohesion and wellbeing. The project also seeks to revitalize rural and mountainous communities by encouraging new residents to settle in these areas. Eligible applicants must be Cypriot nationals under 45 years old, with income limits varying based on family size, and residence proximity requirements.
Priority for plot allocation is given to indigenous villagers, displaced persons residing in the area, internal emigrants wishing to return, repatriates, and permanent residents of neighboring villages. Large families will have precedence if multiple applicants compete for the same plot.
