16-year-old boy dies in motorcycle crash in Argaka, Paphos
A 16-year-old boy lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday afternoon in Argaka, Paphos district. The teenager, identified as George Hatziioannou from Agia Marina Chrysochous, was riding an unregistered racing motorcycle when he lost control along Archbishop Makarios Avenue around 3:30 pm. The motorcycle struck the pavement and overturned, causing serious injuries.
George was transported to Polis Chrysochous Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police cordoned off the area for investigation, with traffic authorities looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash. A helmet was found at the scene, but it has not yet been confirmed if the rider was wearing it at the time of the accident.
