Nine Christmas Villages to Operate Across Cyprus from Nov 21 to Jan 6
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism in Cyprus has announced the operation of nine Christmas Villages across all districts this festive season, running from November 21, 2026, to January 6, 2027. The selected villages include Agros, Deryneia, Kakopetria, Kalopanagiotis, Kyperounta, Lefkara, Lofou, Stato-Agios Fotios, and Fikardou.
These villages have been chosen following an evaluation of applications under the Grant Scheme for Community and Municipal Councils, part of the "Heartland of Legends" route initiative. The ministry continues its successful annual initiative to organize community Christmas Villages, which have been warmly received over the past five years.
Visitors can expect festive decorations, wooden stalls selling local products and handicrafts, interactive craft and food-and-wine workshops, guided village tours, nature activities like walking trails and cycling, and other seasonal surprises. The ministry aims to enhance the unique local character of these villages each year to attract both local and international tourists.
