All Banks in Cyprus to Close on October 1 for Independence Day
The Central Bank of Cyprus has announced that all banks in Cyprus will be closed on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in observance of Cyprus' Independence Day. Customers will not be able to access in-branch banking services on that day. However, digital and online banking services are expected to remain operational, allowing customers to manage their accounts remotely. Businesses and individuals are advised to plan accordingly for payments, cash deposits, and other transactions requiring physical bank branch access. Regular banking operations will resume following the holiday on Friday, October 2.
