Vehicle catches fire in Xylofagou, Famagusta district shortly after midnight
A vehicle caught fire shortly after midnight while parked outside its owner's home in Xylofagou, Famagusta district, the fire department reported on Thursday. Firefighters responded quickly after receiving a call at 12:38 a.m. and managed to bring the fire under control by 12:50 a.m. Three fire engines were deployed to the scene.
The fire caused damage to the vehicle’s engine and surrounding areas due to the heat. Authorities suspect that an electrical or mechanical failure may have caused the blaze. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.
