Karaiskakio Foundation Celebrates 30 Years at European Researchers' Night 2026 in Nicosia
The Karaiskakio Foundation is marking 30 years of life-saving scientific and voluntary service by participating in European Researchers’ Night 2026 on September 25 at the Cyprus State Fairgrounds in Nicosia. This year’s event, themed "CELEBRATE 2.0 – Two Decades of STEAM-Powered Inspiration," highlights 20 years of European Researchers' Night and aims to bring science closer to the public, especially younger generations.
At Booth 34, visitors can engage in interactive activities such as "Become a Donor, Give the Gift of Life," which explains the science behind bone marrow and organ donation, and the global search for compatible donors through the World Marrow Donor Association. Additional educational games like "Find the Ideal Donor" and "DNA Detective – Find Your Match!" offer a fun exploration of DNA and compatibility.
Through these experiences, the Karaiskakio Foundation emphasizes the importance of voluntary donation and hopes to inspire the next generation with knowledge, giving, and the life-changing potential of scientific discovery.
