Three-day Ceramic, Art and Clay Festival Kicks Off in Ayia Napa This September
Ayia Napa Municipality, in collaboration with the Cyprus Potters and Ceramicists Association and the Arōma Ayia Napa – Friends of the Sculpture Park Association, is launching a new cultural initiative celebrating clay as a traditional and artistic medium. The Ceramic, Art and Clay Days event begins on Friday, September 18, with an exhibition opening at 7pm at the Giorgos Seferis Cultural Centre.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Deputy Culture Minister Klea Hadjistefanou Papaellina and aims to foster dialogue between traditional craftsmanship, contemporary art, and cultural education. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the transformation of earth into art and witness the interplay of tradition and innovative expression.
Organizers emphasize the event’s role in enhancing collaboration between local authorities and cultural organizations, reinforcing Ayia Napa’s identity as a vibrant hub where tourism harmoniously coexists with art, culture, and Cypriot heritage.
